TL-1 is a sculptural table lamp that combines a cellulose acetate reflector, cast mineral-composite base, and a high-polished, precision-machined aluminum stem. Conceived as an indirect, reflected light source, it produces a soft, low-glare wash of light that can be tuned with a tactile dimming knob.

Part sculpture, part architectural element, the lamp introduces a quiet visual warmth to a room. Light spreads across the reflector before casting a gentle halo on the surrounding space, creating a calm ambient glow suited to living areas, bedrooms, and intimate interiors.

TL-1 combines three materials whose contrasting textures and finishes create a balance of softness, precision, and warmth.
Mineral Composite: The base is cast in a unique mineral composite made from natural stone powders bound with a water-based resin. The material cures with a rough, stone-like surface that feels dense and gives the lamp visual weight. Its soft matte texture absorbs and distributes light evenly across its surface.
Machined Aluminum: A mirror-polished aluminum stem rises from the base as a precise, rectilinear element. The precision-machined metal introduces a geometric clarity and structure, contrasting with the softness of the base.
Cellulose Acetate: The reflector is constructed using cellulose acetate, a plant-derived material made from wood pulp and cotton. Shaped by heat into its final form, the material’s internal patterning stretches and compresses, leaving natural variation in tone, density, and depth. When lit, those layers come forward in subtle gradients with infinite variation. Each reflector carries subtle variation in pattern, giving every lamp a slightly different character.
